The Gran Marnier stain is a warm two-pass stain in our 1850 collection. This process involves staining the floors black first and then sanded off, allowing black to hug to the bevels and the grain throughout. The rich warm, gran marnier stain is applied next which creates a unique warm looking floor. We love this process as it highlights the board widths and character, and also gives the floor an "aged" feel. This is a great option if you are looking to add character to your space and give it some old world charm.
A large majority of the grain is quarter sawn giving it incredible stability which is the reason we can offer it up to 10" wide. A 7" Live Sawn board will shrink and expand roughly as much as a 4" plain sawn board making this floor the perfect option for a cottage. For wide planks we recommend a nail and bead glue installation. The live sawn is a perfect floor for dogs because of it's rustic character and Wire Brushed finish. The gran marnier stain is a rich tone of light brown with a slight undertone of orange. It is also a two pass stain containing black which makes the grain of the wood stand out against the warm browns and makes for a beautiful contrasting combination.

We installed the 8" Gran Marnier at our cottage and it is the most amazing floor you can get. Most pieces are 8'-10' long and perfectly straight. The finish is impeccable. The service and installation instructions on the website could not be any better. I give 5 stars for this product.
