Our Toffee 1850 stain is a warm medium to dark tone in our 1850 collection. This stain has our unique two pass finish, which involves a two part staining process. The boards are stained black and then sanded off and our toffee stain is applied. This process gives a unique, aged look highlighting the tight hickory grains while still showing off that beautiful colour variation throughout.  The toffee 1850 stain is a warm tone and adds instant coziness to your space. We love it because it the perfect alternative to a dark floor, while adding some character to your space. 

Hickory is the hardest North American wood we offer.  Its durability and unique grain pattern make it a very popular specie of wood for us.  The grain pattern is right between maple and oak making it a perfect compromise for people who want the timeless charm of oak but prefer something not quite as busy.
