We have instead shifted towards low-sheen wire-brushed flooring in domestic species like Ash and Maple. While these flooring options are not as hard as exotic woods like Jatoba, they perform much better in our Canadian climate.

Natural wood tones are not just gaining traction because the beautiful colours lend well to any design style. Natural wood tones are rising in popularity because people are seeking to incorporate more nature into their spaces. Following the two-year global lockdown, people want to be surrounded by natural elements that remind them of the great outdoors.
