Birdseye Maple Flooring
Birdseye Maple hardwood flooring is the rarest hardwood flooring offered at Gaylord Hardwood Flooring. By applying a stain to Birdseye flooring, the unique grain pattern becomes even more prominent. To put the rareness into perspective, Birdseye occurs in less than 1% of all Maple trees.
Birdseye Maple Floorings Pros and ConsBirdseye Maple wood has a Janka hardness factor of 1450, which is harder than Red Oak, but softer than Hickory. On the pro side, Birdseye flooring will give you a unique hardwood floor. On the con side, due to its rarity, a Birdseye floor will have a higher cost than a standard Maple floor.
Birdseye Floorings GradesAt the current moment, we offer clear grade and country grade. Since Birdseye maple wood is so rare, this has potential to change in the future.
